September's Scintillating Income and Sources 2013

UPDATE: Head here, to March 2014's numbers to see how I've been doing lately!

Ah, September. Remember I told you my income would likely be down in September due to homeschooling starting up? Well, that was true. I can barely fit in 20 hours a week working in the mornings and whenever I can sneak in 15 extra minutes, so keeping in mind that I only work part-time from home while also frolicking with my kids every day most of the day and keep an immaculate house (hahaha!), September weighed in at a whopping $1,651.26 (if I could do that every month, that translates into about $20,000 per year working part-time from home ... not bad for a girl who didn't even go to college!).

Here were April's numbers, and then May's numbers. Then here are June's numbers, and you can see I'm increasing my income every month. July was amazing but not as good as August!

It is once again awesome to be able to make this much money from home while also being able to swim with the kids, take them to parks and other cool places! I'm able to pay for gymnastics every month and our big-ticket purchase for the month for the house is not coming to mind, but I know there was one. Also, I'm able to start saving for Christmas, which I never could do before (credit cards, anyone?!), as well as save for that little vacation I keep talking about taking with the family.

I am in the Stop Whining About Money and Do Something About It Club! Care to join me? Open enrollment is now!

Disclaimers: For the record, I have no reason to lie to you about any of the income I’m reporting, and the most underhanded, nasty, smarmy thing I’m going to do is give you my referral links so I can make a whopping dime or so off of each person who signs up to do what I’m doing! The dollar amounts I show are what I actually RECEIVED in my hot little hand or PayPal account, not what I EARNED because things show up at different times and take different amounts of time to come around.

Just like always: I STILL do not count my eggs before they are in my PayPal account. Now, let's get started:

1. Fiverr. $577. The majority of my income is from proofreading when my kids sleep, but I also have gigs for promoting things via my social media outlets. Things kinda tanked here in September.

2. Bubblews. $433.52. Just click on the word Bubblews and you can sign up using my referral link. This is basically a blogging site that you can read more about here. Anyone can join.

3. Regional Parenting Magazine articles, new and reprint: $70. That would be thanks to this little gem, and I'm not even really trying.

4. PostLoop. $9.50. I'm going to send you here because I have a lot of information on this and it needed its own post. Bottom line: probably worth it and potentially $10/hour while you watch TV. *IF YOU SIGN UP UNDER ME USING MY REFERRAL LINK, THANK YOU! PLEASE DO THE 10 POSTS TO GET STARTED; YOU WILL GET POINTS FOR THOSE AND THEN A RATING, THEN YOU CAN CONTINUE ON.

5. Private proofing jobs: $505

6. BlogHer ads income from 3 tweeting campaigns plus one month of ads on my main blog: $56.24

Come back to see October's numbers!

*Yes, I pay taxes on every stinking cent!

    1. I look for EVERYTHING when proofreading, so I suppose I'm often more like an editor!

  7. Not too bad, you can earn a good living without a college degree, it is only a piece of paper that too many people think to highly of. I have two and outside of them opening doors for people that think they are worth something, they are useless. Most jobs are on the job training and that means more to me than any piece of paper (sorry for the rant!)

    1. Mel! Anyone can hop onto Fiverr, just promote your gig after that. Also I hire outsources proofers after a test ... work is sporadic ... feast or famine, but you just never know! Otherwise, you can get proofing jobs at Odesk and Elance, as well.
